Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable IT Officer to support the setup and management of our IT infrastructure and application systems. The IT Officer will play a key role in maintaining a secure and efficient IT environment that supports our digital media operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT support, infrastructure management, and application systems, along with a passion for technology and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
Infrastructure Setup and Management:
- Assist in the design, implementation, and management of the IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and cloud-based systems.
- Ensure the infrastructure is secure, optimized for performance, and supports business operations.
- Provide support in the setup and maintenance of hardware, software, and network systems.
- Assist in establishing backup, recovery, and disaster recovery plans.
Application Systems Setup:
- Support the deployment, configuration, and management of software applications and tools.
- Install, configure, and maintain essential business applications, including content management systems, digital media tools, and productivity software.
- Ensure the seamless integration of various systems to support business operations.
- Implement and maintain basic security protocols and policies.
- Work with other departments to understand their technology needs and provide appropriate solutions.
Security and Compliance:
- Assist in developing and enforcing IT policies and procedures to ensure data security and compliance with industry standards.
- Monitor systems for potential vulnerabilities and support the implementation of solutions to mitigate risks.
Support and Maintenance:
- Provide ongoing support and maintenance for IT systems and infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
- Ensure regular maintenance and updates of all systems to guarantee optimal performance.
- Monitor system performance and implement improvements as needed.
Project Assistance:
- Support IT projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their requirements and assist in translating them into technical solutions.
Vendor Management:
- Assist in managing relationships with external vendors, including supporting contract negotiations.
- Support the evaluation and recommendation of new technologies and services that align with the company’s goals.
Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other departments to understand their technology needs and assist in delivering solutions that enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Provide technical support and guidance to team members and other departments as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support or a related role, with a focus on infrastructure and application systems.
- Proven experience in managing IT infrastructure and systems.
- Strong knowledge of network and server management, cloud services, and cybersecurity.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Soft Skills:
- Experience in the digital media industry is a plus.
- Familiarity with content management systems and digital asset management.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
